For Princess

Princess Teti right…. i think i finally got that right…

Just remembered I wanted to share this with you, coz you were wondering why I was actually reading this….

[The Japanese believe that by removing yourself from the picture, you gain greater insight into what truly is there…]

[We are blinded by our own egos from seeing the full possibilities of life. If we discipline ourselves to adopt periodically a “no-ego” state, we can perceptively drink in the full meaning of a situation without imposing ourselves upon it.]

The words above are a simple expression of what the Japanese will always be better at than the Americans, and that is paying attention to the person… in the other part of a task, relationship or somewhat erstwhile discussion which has a unified cause…

Is it even possible? To take yourself completely out of a picture? Maybe when it doesn’t concern you, but even then it takes a whole lot of self-discipline. I’m not sure it’s possible, especially when you’re American!

Undeniable wisdom there.OK, I concede.You were right to be reading that book. 🙂
Now, I’m off to ponder those particular quotes and apply them to me own life!

@Cheri
Thanks…
Tandra must be hustling on something
but i am sure Kakaire and co will be swept away with her liciousness

LOL!!!
Have you read the quote?

@Carlo
Well being honest it is quite hard and sometimes impossible….
but looking back, if you get a little help from the other person, it can be a little smoothe, though tough….

and the rewards are amazing Carlo, amazing!
But then again Carlo, ori munyankole? ninga ori muhima?

@Princess
Cheers Teti (i think)
Appreciate the consensus….
and ponder away…
it can be hard, but hey take your time about it….

So what were you reading to generate such profound statements?

Can Americans really achieve that “no-ego” state, since they are the most egotistic people i have ever met?

@ antipop, where is the love? I think that is advise to anyone and everyone… that is if it can be followed.

@Sy
Hmmmn!

@Kakaire
Dawg
not really…
it’s just that at BHH she asked me about the book i was reading and all the whys, and how it will help me in anyway?

She was with a former blogger called Dusk, and i had no way of sharing the words without seeming overtly a braggart, and too know-it-all-ish..

so i dropped one (or two) of the sentences that made a tonne of sense to me….

@Alesi
the book is called “The Art of Japanese Management”
by two Professors of Business, and Strategy and i just took it as a simple reflection of me’self personally and professionally….
one works at Stanford, and the other works at Harvard in the respective schools of business and strategy formulation….

kinda deep i must add
